Ps2 Genji Dawn Of The Samurai Isotoner

This game flew under a lot of radars when it was released on the PS2 and it's a shame because it's great. For a PS2 game the thing looks great being better looking than even some games today. Plus the hack n slash gameplay is a lot of fun if you're a fan of these types. With the speedy dual wielding samurai and the giant, strong monk who wields what seems a telephone pole, it has a good contrast and both are fun.The game came in in perfect condition and in about a week. Completely satisfied with my order. Lukie is the best!

Genji: Dawn of the Samurai. In a comically-voiced yarn that concerns the collection of the powerful Amahagane gems, it's a classic good versus evil tale: in short, the power-hungry Heishi intend on harvesting these stones to give them godlike powers, and it's up to a young warrior (Yoshitsune) and his burly monk friend (Benkei). The game's story leads them on a journey of discovery and honor, through a foreign land where they are often met with distrust and aggression.Camera angles are fixed, and combat involves superhuman leaps, fast-paced swordsmanship, and intricate combos, as in contemporary action-adventure titles such as Devil May Cry or Otogi. Genji: Dawn of the Samurai is the first release from Game Republic, the studio founded by former Capcom designer and producer Yoshiki Okamoto.

Standard Slash'em Up With Some Twists!!!Pros+ Lots of fighting with plenty of boss battles mixed in.+ Fast moving, athletic character.+ Lots of style & a compelling story.Cons- Too much button mashing & searching for upgrades is a chore.- Without the powers & unique bosses the game is pretty much cookie cutter.- Too much dialogue & lots of useless cutscenes that break up the gameplay.- Limited save points.CommentsThis game is some fun to play around with. Camera angles are often frustrating & searching for upgrades is not much fun. But the fast paced action should keep any fan of the action genre playing for at least a few hours. There are two characters playable and their styles are quite different. Hordes of bad guys attack at a time and you will slice your way through them like a champ.

Just remember to use block against bosses or you'll be replaying through a lot of game.VerdictWorth playing if you are a fan of action games or samurai games. Probably no more than a rental for most though.

Genji: Dawn of the Samurai in YouThis game is great for those of you whom enjoy action packed games. With two playable and switchable characters. Each one is better suited for one kind of player. One is for those of you whom enjoy smooth movement and combos. They other is for those whom enjoy just holding a big stick and smacking people with it. The sound and graphics on this game are wonderful. The replay value is kinda what keeps it from being a 5.

With many weapons, armor choices, special items, and things to collect and do.this will keep a average gamer busy for around 10 hours. While some of us wouldnt pick up a game with only 10 hours of play, I would if I were you. You wont be disappointed. Hell, Rent it first if you dont believe me.

Don't miss your chance to play this classic gamefrom the PS2.Genji: Dawn of the Samurai is one of the stand out games to be released on the PS2. It is headed to be recognized as a classic game that will stand on it own even against the games of today. It is somewhat similar in style to the Devil May Cry ganes, with elements of the Dynasty Warrior series, and elements of RPG leveling up. Genji: Dawn of the Samurai is a beautiful, and satisfying game with a dynamic battle system that uses motion capture to render authentic sword battles that get better and better as the game progresses and as you level up and collect Amahagane, a jewel that enables you to accesss new power levels and Kamui moves. The fact that it is voice acted in Japanese, with subtitles makes this game all the better. The story is compelling, and immersive. The main character, a 16 year old boy descended from a great Genji warrior, is one that is easy to root for, which in my opinion is critical to making a game that I want to continue to see through to the end.

Good verses evil, the bad guys are bad, and the good guys good. The graphics are outstanding and the scenery beautifully rendered. When we look at what games were made for the PS2 with a focus on art, and with an amazing attention to detail, Genji: Dawn of the Samurai is going to stand out as on of the greats.

If you don't own a copy of this game, and you love to play an immersive story, with beautiful graphics, dynamic and ultra-realistic sword battles, then grab the next copy of Genji that you can. It will become more and more hard to find as people rediscover what a great game Genji: Dawn of the Samurai was in it's time, and continues to be today. Genji; Dawn of the SamuraiTo be honest, I thought I was buying a different game at first. And tried to retract my order.

But the payment had already been recieved, so I decided to check the game out myself. Boy, am I glad I did. This is an incredible game with rich artistry and historic flavor. I think I bought a japanese version, because the game is subtitled. This actually adds to the enjoyment of the game.

The story is very engaging, and keeps you on your toes. You play one of two fighters in old fuedal Japan, avenging the overthrow of their family. Each has their own individual strengths and weaknesses on how to procede throught each chapter of the story. The combat system is based on a timing criterium. Meaning you get better points for attacking at the right time, rather than standard button mashing. Fortunately, your character(s) are given a little 'help' to tell you just when is the right time to strike.Altogether, I would definitely recommend this game.
