It does not make any sense to perform testing on TP5. It is not supported and is a different distribution entirely when compared to the final release.

If you could not find the exact driver for your hardware device or you aren't sure which driver is right one.
During the TP releases, Microsoft would include things that were expected to no be in the finalbuild. The vendor of the hardware device is the one responsible for drivers for that device. Microsoft does not write drivers for third-party devices. Microsoft does have a method in place for third parties to have their device drivers included as partof the distribution, but there are specific timelines the vendor must meet in order for the driver to make it into the distribution. During TP, these deadlines are more flexible, so you may find a driver in the TP that is not in the final release. If you have a system that is not listed in www.windowsservercatalog.com as supporting Windows server 2016, you can try drivers for Windows 10 (if they exist) to get something to work, but that does not change the support matrix.

So here, here is my lamentation.I have a DL380 G7, and it will not take Server 2012 R2, I have tried so many things.First, I downloaded the SmartStart service pack DVD that updated all of the Server ROMS and Firmware for all devices to the P67 ROM family, as stated in the HP guide. From there, I created newRAID arrays in the controller and popped in the Server 2012 R2 disc. Once I boot up the Por-OS and try to install, I got this:'We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files.' So I looked it up, and I needed to load the RAID drivers manually. So I rebooted, killed the arrays, made new ones, got the drivers for the RAID controller on a flash drive, loaded it up.

Did the maual install and had it find the drivers for the controller on the flash drive, then it started the install. And it dies.It dies by going from 0-100% immediately on Copying Windows Setup Files. So, it can't find anything, errors out, and I start the process all over again.Anyone else out here overcome this to Get 2012 R2 on a G7 server?.
