Project X 7c3 Driver Shaft Reviews

It was a “Project X 73g 6.0” stiff shaft (blue) that I think was available in the earlier versions such as the 910 D2. I suppose that someone had a shaft from an older version and just droped it into this head. I think that the new shaft that would approximate this one is the “7C3 Project X”. Timely.I have a Callaway Razr Fit that had a Aldila RIP'd NV in R in the thing. This is my 'range beater'. The problem with the RIP'd NV shaft is that I have to swing out of my socks to hit it. When I do that I get great distance and flight, but I'm never going to swing like that on the course. Aldila shafts are fitted A-flex: 75 to 90 mph; R-flex: 90-100 mph.

So R-flex is like a stiff in some other shafts. My Big Bertha is cut to 44' - Fubuki Z50 shaft in R (for 80-90 mph)I wanted to shorten my Razr Fit to the same length so I wrapped some electrical tape around the butt end of the grip. This made the shaft feel even stiffer. I don't want to bang my good driver with those rocks at the range. The shop at the range had a 3-wood Aldila Trinity shaft in A-flex for the Razr Fit which was 1/4' shorter than the shaft on my Big BerthaTheAldila Trinityshaft was a lot easier to hit, caused no loss of distance for a normal hit, and it didn't feel like I was hitting with a board. It is a higher launch shaft, and matched my BB's shaft more closely for feel. I really like the feel of this shaft. The best part? Since they had no use for the shaft because it had the Razr Fit tip on it,it was free.

Regular price $200. I see the charts of 'How far you should hit your clubs' and they don't tell you that the charts are all in the old standard lofts not in the modern cranked lofts. So since I'm going through a little bit about FedEx lost my golf clubs and because of that Cobra might have to make me a new set, I went down and tried out some new clubs.I decided to try out the Cobra MB/CBs. The 7 iron is 34 degrees and a muscle back. I hit it 143 yds. It was repeatable.

I can hit the short iron part of this set with ease. But the yardage for the 7 iron is considerably less than my 155-160 with my old set. However, the shot was a lot more controlled. The 4 iron in the set. I hit this 170 yds.

This would mean 4-GW with a 5H, 4H if I were to get this set. But can I game this set?

Yes, I could if the planets were aligned. The 4 iron would be a struggle because it is not very forgiving of mishits. Mishits instead of being 15 yds short were 30 yds short and I really felt it. I probably wouldn't have much fun on an average day.I loved the look of them. Small club head and thin top line. That didn't bother me.It's the long holes where it would get me. Average holes I could rely on driver + 7i - 9i.

But if my driver wasn't clicking it would be a long day.So there you have it. I hit a standard loft 7 iron 143 yds, and a standard loft 4 iron 170 yds. This is carry distance. I'm not lying about my distance.
