Eerdmans PublishingFormat Available: PDF, ePub, MobiTotal Read: 92Total Download: 265File Size: 47,9 MbDescription: In Dust Bound for Heaven Reinhard Htter shows how Thomas Aquinas's view of the human being as dust bound for heaven weaves together elements of two questions without fusion or reduction. Does humanity still have an insatiable thirst for God that sends each person on an irrepressible religious quest that only the vision of God can quench? Or must the human being, living after the fall, become a 'new creation' in order to be readied for heaven? Htter also applies Thomas's anthropology to a host of pressing contemporary concerns, including the modern crisis of faith and reason, political theology, the relationship between divine grace and human freedom, and many more. The concluding chapter explores the Christological center of Thomas's theology.

Augustine enchiridion pdf

Born in 1865 in Corato, Italy, Luisa Piccarreta began receiving revelations at age 12 and was called by God to become a victim soul. At a very tender age God spoke to her about a gift he wishes to bestow upon the world that will set it free and inaugurate an Era of World Peace. God refers to this gift as “Living in the Divine Will”, for it is through an act of God’s will that the earth will be made pure and mankind will become holy. Just as God the Father created the world, and the Son of God redeemed it, so the Holy Spirit will sanctify it through the outpouring of this gift. According to Luisa’s revelations, although God created us without us, he cannot save us without us. Therefore, he reveals himself to Luisa so that through her, we may come to know the loving gift he has prepared for us – the gift that will restore us to the holiness that Adam and Even enjoyed in Eden, and that will set all creation free.

Paul affirms that “all creation groans with eager longings, waiting to be set free from its slavery to corruption and enjoy the glorious freedom of the sons of God,” and God tells Luisa that those who live in the Divine Will will be those sons of God who set creation free. This book is divided into 7 chapters. Chapter 1 presents a biographical sketch of Luisa’s life; Chapters 2-4 explore the importance of the gift of Living in the Divine Will; Chapters 5-7 compare this gift to the Church’s Eastern and Western traditions. Because this book bears the ecclesiastical “seal of approval” of the Pontifical University of Rome that is authorized by the Holy See, it enjoys a particular status that ensures sound doctrinal content for the Christian faithful.

If you are familiar with the extraordinary life of Luisa Piccarreta, then this book will truly bring you deeper into her life and the gift of the “Divine Will”. If you are not, then you are truly in for a special and extraordinary experience that will change your life. It is a story perhaps unparalleled in the history of mystical theology, written by whom many consider the Church’s most authoritative person on the subject. Author by: John P. DourleyLanguage: enPublisher by: RoutledgeFormat Available: PDF, ePub, MobiTotal Read: 20Total Download: 769File Size: 49,7 MbDescription: Jung's explanation of the religious tendency of the psyche addresses many sides of the contemporary debate on religion and the role that it has in individual and social life. This book discusses the emergence of a new mythic consciousness and details ways in which this consciousness supersedes traditional concepts of religion to provide a spirituality of more universal inclusion.

On Behalf of the Mystical Fool examines Jung's critique of traditional western religion, demonstrating the negative consequences of religious and political collective unconsciousness, and their consequent social irresponsibility in today's culture. The book concludes by suggesting that a new religiosity and spirituality is currently emerging in the West based on the individual’s access to the sense of ultimacy residual in the psyche, and seeking expression in a myth of a much wider compass. This book will be of interest to scholars and students at all levels who are engaged in the expanding field of Jungian studies.

It will also be key reading for anyone interested in the theoretical and therapeutic connections between the psyche and religious experience.

's famous Enchiridion Symbolorum et Definitionum is a handbook on the sources and development of the Catholic Faith. Like other typical German Handbuchs of the 19 th century, this one is dense, hard-to-read, and very, very thorough. Dig deep, and you will discover what is doctrine, what is condemned, and what is open to interpretation, and gives you the who, what, when, and why, going all of the way back to the beginning.UPDATE: for whatever reason, Google likes to direct folks seeking the Enchridion to my web page here. An English version of the Enchiridion Symbolorum was once put online, but has since been taken down, but you can still find a copy of it on the Internet Archive.
